Literature Text

It starts at childhood;
Every thought, every trance,
Every imaginary character that you make up
Can stick to you and eternally dance.
All you have to do is take their hand
And squeeze it tight,
Because sometimes nobody else will
As you sleep at night.

The imagination is a powerful thing;
With thoughts so wide and long
It simply becomes a reality.
Fortunately, if you forget the song
The other side will not,
And will hum and laugh and smile;
Taking your hands and spinning quick,
Forcing you out of your self imposed exile.

Age forces change;
As maturity catches up, many lose grip,
And feel lost in the world as it goes dim
As imagination and reality just trip,
And break.
Imagination is something that should stick
But you get forced to "grow up"
Which will do nothing but make you sick.

People will force you to change;
To become something new
And away from the old,
Though while all you did was grew
With those same friends as you had before.
They grew with you and they smile,
Taking your hands and spinning round and round,
Forcing you out of your self imposed exile.

Just remember them;
It's not hard.
They existed with you from the beginning,
Never eroding like some sort of crystal shard
That will eternally shine.
With lyrics that only you know,
And with jokes that only you get.
You'll remember them, you will
And they'll remember you, don't fret.

And don't be scared;
What people imagine them to be
Is just part of their thoughts, not yours
Be they Angel, Daemon or myth, see
Them for what they really are.
Because they are your first friends
Who will always have your smile,
Even if they make you dizzy, or scare you to death
They'll be there for you, even in your self imposed exile.

So, just hear them out;
Sometimes they have much to say.
Most of the time, it's just stuff to make you laugh or cry
But they'll speak to you for many a day,
And fill your head full of memories.
They'll never give up,
And they'll never stop trying
Because they'll always sit there with you
And will keep trying, even if you start denying.

And be there for them;
Even though you made them
And that should make you proud,
You have the power that freed 'em
And that should stand.
Because as morbid as this will be,
Even at your last breath, just smile,
You were never lonely, they always had your hand
Even if they lived in your head, they broke your exile.
Wrote this up when I got hit by inspiration hard. It's about when as a child, well, throughout life you either forget your imaginary friends or they live with you until the end. They grow with you, they live with you, they help and they smile, regardless of what mood your in. They just keep staying, and I think that's one of the best aspects to have in life.

Enjoy.

Oooh !
I like this one :happybounce:  Must admit that I haven't really read much of the others that you have tho', but this one caught my interest quite fast, so I decided to read all of it :D
I too had imaginary friends when I was little. And for quite a while too. And they're still there. Just not in the same way anymore Sweating a little...
And you write very good btw! Thumbs Up :D (Big Grin)
